Old man problem… thin skin

Any work I do I often leave a blood trail. I used to take BP meds (10 yrs.) and always thought that med at least added to the problem. I was cold all the time and bleeding, bruising so easily. Lately it’s really a nuisance. I don’t take much prescription meds anymore, except for one remaining post surgery.

I am going to try these Kevlar arm guards, forearm guards, whatever. At least while I’m working outside. Anyone else try them? Bound to help out hunting or clearing brush. Both my forearms take a beating, look awful.

Your skin is getting thinner and you will get those red spots by just brushing up against things. The best is yet to come, getting blood blisters loading a lever gun when the gate snaps on your fingers. or having a pistol pinch your palm while racking it. Sorry it is all combination of sun damage and old age. Use sun screen generously to keep it from getting worse. those sleeves seem like a good idea as well, but protect yourself with sunscreen as well. We have as older people, lost that fat layer beneath our outer skin, you can no longer push nails into wood bare fisted!

As I like to say-

I am being held together by duct tape and memories.

Very well said.

I'm adopting that thought for my own well-being. :-D
