Lawyer's Ethical Responsibility

A lawyer takes an oath and under the Code of Professional Responsibility has an ethical duty to represent the interests of their client regardless if they agree with the client's position. That is why excellent lawyers appointed by a Court represent some of the scum of the humanity. It is the lawyer's duty to recommend a course of action to a client and the client's choice as to what to do. Once that decision is made the lawyer has to defend it. If I had $100.00 for every client position I did not agree with or that was ridiculous in 48 years in this business I would be a multi-millionaire. Good by career Ms. Yates !
