For many years we lived in Oracle, AZ .. pictured above. Our house is to the left of the white house near the water tank .. brown .. just a bit lower.

I used to ride my horse out the back gate of our property and up the mountain on the left. I would leave before sunrise and top out just before the sun came up over the Galiuro Mountains. Sitting there in the saddle ... watching the earth light up .. I had some of my best "church" times worshiping the Lord.

It was great hunting country .. all National Forest land .. with both Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer .. Black Bear .. Mountain Lions .. Bobcats and Coyotes ... Javelina ... Turkeys ... Coatimundi ... Rabbits ... Dove and Gambel Quail. Just all kinds of game. It was a great time of life and I have many fond memories from there.

I have been blessed way beyond anything I have ever deserved.

I REMEMBER ORACLE

I was living in Las Vegas at the time. My goal was to move to Arizona. It never happened. Had to go back to New England to take care family matters. I am now up in the White mountains of New Hampshire. It’s just OK. A lot of non hunters and tree hungers are moving up here.
But I always think about Arizona. So, Believe it or not my wife finally agreed we should go out there and look for the life style I been looking for. A nice piece of property where I can enjoy my toys. She calls everything I have toys. Some day ! You looked like you had a good life. God bless and enjoy many more years. Pete

Back about 35 years ago I used to hunt

the same game around Londyke up in the Santa Teresa mountains. It was like going back in time. They didn't get power back there until 1954. Lots of great memories of hunting, ranching and riding. We sure are lucky!

That Graham County area is still pretty wild ..

and still like going back in time. I am grateful that I was raised in pretty wild/woolly country back before off-roading got popular. Though even today there are plenty of places where you will either walk in or ride a horse or mule because wheeled vehicles won't work or ain't allowed.
