Hello ALL,
Patti was with Allison in San Diego last week and wanted to let you know that Allie has made the difficult decision to go ahead and have the surgery to have the colostomy done again...She has TRIED her very BEST these past 5 months to avoid this difficult decision but realized this past week that that she cannot go on like she has these past 5 months..Anyone less determined, less strong would have caved months ago with the pain and suffering she has endured.just this week, again,.after 2 terrible long nights of sitting on the potty every hour of the night, she has virtually slept all day long since last Thursday..she has requested the surgery and they will let her know soon if it will be the 1st or 2 nd week of November... She has been a TROOPER throughout ALL of these difficult days, no one can begin to imagine how her life has been unless one is here to observe and watch her trying to manage to get through the day....Last week-end when Lindsay was here, Allie managed to drive up and visit Linz and her friends for a short while.. Believe me, that never would have happened this week- end and she has " paid for it" all week...and that was her 1 ST time to go anywhere since last Thanksgiving when she was able to come to the beach with us at our Coronado time share for a few hours...so, this will be her 10 th surgery in addition to several other surgical procedures, please keep her in your prayers and you can write or send cards to her @ Allison Herf, 3429 Ray Street, San Diego CA 92104.
