just showed me a .30 wcf 1894 just in from an estate. Bluing is good, markings are deep and crisp. 26" barrel honestly can't remember if it's round or octagon. Stock was evidently cut down for a lady or youth and now has an ugly recoil pad on it. $500. Is that too good to pass up?

Pre-64s run well north of $400 from what I’ve researched and that is a rifle, not carbine so worth a considerable premium. I figure it is worth $600 and likely more! It’s supply and demand. Find a guy looking for one like that and it will bring a big price! Times are pretty good right now and some folks can afford to invest in things they enjoy. It’s like putting money in the bank, only you will actually garner interest!

will being $750 to $800, sometimes more. Folks from back east come out here looking form cheap Colts and Winchesters and end up paying $800 for the average condition Winchester and $2000 and up for a Colt. The gun is worth $650 to $700 as it sits.

average condition, bluing wear mostly but had 4 holes drilled in the action for a side mount. It sold for $700 the first day.

collector value has been lessened by the stock being cut but that is still a good price for just a shooter. Buy it. If the stock has been shortened, you can have a spacer put in to bring it back to the original length of pull.
