What’s the best way to scope one of the 454 or 480 bisley. Weigand makes a monstrosity for them but I’d try tape first. Can they be drilled and tapped for a normal mount?

Get the Leupold Dual Dovetail

They are high quality mounts. Need to be drilled and tapped, but worth it

They are strong but limited in use...

I like the Weigand D&T base for being versatile. The slots allow a wide range of red dots, reflex sights and scopes.

I agree with Josh on that I-Beam No D&T Base.

the best base and rings are the Leupold Dual Dovetail

There is no possible way the rings can come loose. That is the only one I would ever consider putting on my guns. And yes you have to have 2 holes drilled and tapped but it is well worth it to get the strength of the Leupold base and rings. If you are going to do it, do it once and do it right. You won't be disappointed.
