I decided to change the sights on the 44-40. The front sight blades are made by a fellow handgun hunter. The rear is an aftermarket blade with white outline.

With ammo loaded for my Uberti Flattop Target, the first group came in at 3/4". Five shots in one ragged hole and one line (bastard) shot opened it up a bit. Sights and scopes have to suit the shooter.

That's bound to snag on your underwear band!?

Any glare at all and I'm toast on windage. It's getting to be a trick bedding in the v-notch too, for elevation.

It is for my 55 year old eyes. Considering accuracy...

I'm anxious to try my beloved Matt's Wadcutter Bullets. They shoot more accurately and hits harder than any 44 bullets I've ever seen.

I order them by the thousand and Matt hardens them for me. No bullet I'd rather have on my side.

Matt's 160 gr rnfp's are my favorite .357 bullet.

More of a WFN with a big meplat. They seem to just shove bowling pins off the table. Love his 270 SA 45's too.

And a good plain patridge usually works best for me.
