this hot load I had worked up in one of Gary's customs on a Blackhawk chassis in .32-20. We used a 120 gr. FPGC and I forget the powder, maybe Lil'gun or 680. That slick little pill screamed out of that rifle at some 2100 fps! I was shocked. Not far at all from a full sized .30-30 carbine and factory ammo. Considering the powder and cartridge size it was impressive.
I've always wanted to play with the .32-40 also. Ever since that John Wayne commemorative came out. Is it basically the earlier version of the .32 Win. Special?
