Went to the range to shoot my 3 latest purchuses. First up the Sig-Sauer 938-22. It shot really well no feeding problems and for a fixed sighted pistol very accurate. Next up the Ruger American 22 mag. Every time i shoot this gun i am amazed by how accurate it is. Less than 1" groups at 50 yards with Hornady 30gr V-max. Next up sighting in the 416 Rem. Mounted a 1-4 Leupold on it. Once sighted in it shoots great but recoil is not fun. It is Win M70 Safari Express. All and all a great day of shooting.

You can back off a little in the .416 and it makes a big

difference in recoil. A 400 gr. at 2200 fps is lots more manageable than the same at 2400+. I have a 325 gr. and a 375 gr. cast GC mould for my .416 and it is a hoot to plink with using Trail Boss or even IMR-5010.

I bought the Taurus TX22 to shoot with a suppressor and I cannot think of a better platform for the money. Total reliability and I can wear out the gong at 50 yds. The new trigger is great if not a little funny feeling and sort of floppy side to side, but works great. Much better than any Glock. It is not pivoting on a pin like a normal trigger.

When I want to just shoot mine I use reduced loads with H4895.

400 grainers at at estimated 1850 or so.

Much more pleasant to shoot.

Also works well in 375 H&H

WB had same idea first
