I have been toting this one around in the woods today. That is not unusual. This is my favorite GNR custom (and I have plenty to pick from). Light weight and powerful as well as accurate. I have killed several deer with it over the years. [image]

I usually shoot 9 grains of Unique behind a 260 cast SWC. That hits hard enough to shoot through a good sized deer at 40 yards or less. That is about as far as I want to shoot one with it.

I'm working with a 4 inch 41 GNR right now to see how I like it. I have several modified Reeder 45 colts and I never have loaded them to the max load with a heave bullet. I quit when the loads started to be bone jarring to the hand. I really don't know how people shoot those heavy loads. Here's my favorite for now. [image]
