Anybody have any input on these rifles? I have not seen or shot one yet.
Thanks

Every red-neck in AR has a big woody for one.

I ordered one for a friend when they first came out, he's a .22 WMR fiend. He loves it but it's too pretty for him to bang it around much on the farm. Handles it and polishes more than he shoots it these days. Henry's work fine, but just don't blow air up my skirt. I'm biased to old designs I guess. We do have a .22 LR blued levergun. Shoots OK, the receiver is alloy metal with a metal cover over it. My son (Benjamin) likes it.

I read they had lots of issues with their .22 WMR pump. A shame that was one I found very interesting. Winchester too back in the day had lots of issues with a pump and lever .22 WMR. They are mostly collectors items today.

WB mentioned my one complaint with them. The frame

is pot metal with a brass flashing over it.

And over priced for what they are made of.

I kinda get a good vibe seeing him in video interviews. I’m just a little snooty about leverguns. Ithaca imported some years ago, M72 I think that look really close to the basic Henry like we have. The .22 WMR functions and shoots well. I ordered a couple for some guys long ago. Benjamin knows only his rig at 13, giddy over it. It’s his second .22 and first lever gun/repeater.

I beg to differ with you sir.

The model 39 is the most accurate 22 lever action ever devised and it is a Marlin. The next one is a Browning BL-22. But, I'm just a shooter. My brother likes his but once he shot a 39a he was smitten with jealousy.

I have Marlins, Henrys, Winchesters, Brownings so I

am quite familiar with them all and speak from MY experiences. I like them all but the Henry is my favorite 22 levergun.

Exactly why I only buy the Henry Steel...

I don't care to own a pot metal gun. Not even a rimfire...

BUT, they look so nice and shoot so good!! Smooth too.
