Reeder Custom Guns - What in the world are these?

Enjoying my HHC door prize booty, I was bestowed a bag of mixed .30-30 cases in some phase of conversion to .30 Herrett. I was delighted. Picking some to reform into a .25 Classic (.25 Herrett) I came across some odd ones.

There were (20) or so perfectly formed .30 Herrett. I saved those. But several were found to be .30 Herrett necked up to something. I mic'd 0.328" I.D., the .357 Herrett has a shoulder pushed much farther forward and this neck was much smaller. Normally .338 would have such a case neck tension. Interesting... a .34 Herrett!

I also found some too short to rework into .25 Classic. (I can make them into .300 GNR) These are shown and are necked to .35 cal. A bit longer than a .41 Mag. case (far right) and appear to have been fired. It made my day to discover something so interesting.

didn't pan out. Probably the 354 GNR which was the 30-30 case cut off but it gave me the exact same ballistics as the 356 GNR did so I dropped it. For every one new cartridge I put out, there are usually at least 2 others that I dump due to either someone else has done it or it didn't perform as good as I wanted it to or it was just too much work for the benefits I got out of it.
