Because I can ..
sometimes when I am bored I start messing around with stuff just to see what it will do.
For instance, the non-reloadable CCI aluminum Blazers ... I have been reloading them just to see if they will handle it. So far I have mixed results. The .45 ACP's seem to work ok. With the .38 Specials I have had cases split full length the first reloaded shot. Others lasted for 3 or 4 loadings. Anyone who tries reloading these does so at their own risk.

Then there are the steel Russian cases. They seem to work pretty well. At this point I am not sure about case life. If you try it you might want to keep an extra extractor or two on hand.

And the old Mosin Nagant ... I have a bunch of Bulgarian ammo .. steel jacket .. steel core. Funny thing they have a bit of lead in the nose. So I take my file ...

I have yet to try them on anything. I hate carrying the durn thing around. I mean, where do you carry the 2x4 that helps you work the bolt?
