Good day yesterday
My wife, Dee had her follow up from her surgery yesterday. She had her double mastectomy on Tuesday of last week. She had decided on removal of both after much prayer and advise from ladies she met who have gone through similar situations.
Dr said she was healing well and was able to remove the drains. Then we got down to business. The test showed that her lymph nodes did not have any sign of cancer! Hurry! However, the right breast that was removed for preventative measures actually had a small cancer about 2 mm. It did not show up on her mammogram. But, now it is gone too and she doesn’t have to go through this all again. She meets with an oncologist next week.
God is awesome! I prayed so many times that not only would she receive healing but receive peace of mind with her decision. After surgery she was beginning to think maybe she had been too aggressive. She no longer has to feel that way. Thank you misfits for the prayers l. Thank you Gary for allowing this hear. And thank you Sweet Jesus for everything else!
