The other day on here someone was asking about the 356 on a 5” GP100 and Gary said best thing was to rechambered the current cylinder. Doesn’t the gp100 require a 5 shot cylinder for the 356?
Rechamber a Blackhawk 6-shot, the GP is smaller

And is typically a 5-shot in hot calibers. I do have a 10mm done by another well known smith who claimed it safe with factory level loads. But the chambers are pretty thin “looking”. He also did .41 Specials like that, not magnums, I’m certain you can’t go bigger safely. The .356 GNR would be a 5-shot on that chassis.
you can do a rechamber on an "N" frame

I’ve read of rechambering to 10mm mag.
Same as 357 Magnum and lots of folks rechamber...

To 10mm Magnum. I'll leave mine as is because it's very accurate. More accurate than it's 327 Federal and 44 Special siblings.
we have rechambered a lot of those guns to 10mm Mag

is too small to safety rechamber it to the 356 GNR. I was wrong on that recommendation and again thanks for catching it.

S&W model 27, 28 or 627 to 356 GNR or you can rechamber the factory 357 Mag Redhawk (there were a bunch made) to 356 GNR, but as far as the ones we have rechambered that is all I know of.
I was hoping I was wrong!
