Reeder Custom Guns - Gary can this little derringer be updated?

Gary this is a gun Dad brought back from WWII. Can it be made to fire real ammo?, it is a blank or gas gun. I was thinking 22 mag.. I is 32 Cal. with no rifling. Let me know if it is feasable.

barrel inserts and several hours turning the inserts to where it shoots where you are aiming, firing pin from center fire to rimfire and so on. The gun would cost you about 10 times what it is worth and you could buy a nice little Hi Standard 22 mag derringer for less. Maybe even a nice used little J frame S&W. It might be worth something as a war time souvenir.
