350 Legend in the field
Took my 12 year old grandson on his first deer hunt last saturday. Opening of youth deer season in Mo. We were in a pop up blind on the inlaws property. About 10 mins into the hunt a coyote came out of the woods and I took the shot 1 shot 1 coyote. Then with about a half hour of shooting time left a nice 4 point buck showed up. At 60 yards Kale took the shot 1 shot 1 whitetail buck. Then on Sunday right after church we left for our annual Ok pig hunting trip. Grandson shot a 250 boar with 1 shot and son shot a 225 boar with one shot.We were using Horaday 170gr interlock spirepoint. Just one opinion the 350 legend seems a good little round good power with little recoil. PS I took a 350lb trophy boar with my 416 rem mag.

It's not magic, nor a new idea. The .35 Remington has always been a humble sure killer on anything reasonable folks use it on. The .350 is basically the same thing, just stepping back a bit farther (less velocity). Actually it's in between the old .351 WSL and the .35 Remington. As many say it's a rimless .357 Maximum, actually a bit more, but close.
Since straight walled cases are required in several states I think it will have a great following. I WANT a Ruger American in .350 but found some AR barrels for as low as $110, which is all it takes, plus a $20 magazine to convert any AR-5.56 into .350.
I had an old 336 Marlin in .35 Remington that I really liked. My 200 gr. Hornady SP ran right at 1950 fps and mushroomed just like the old magazines advertised. At 100 steps, I could put 3-shots in a 1 inch triangle on demand using an equally ancient Weaver K6 with post and crosshair. I've never fired a 150 gr. .35 Remington but it has it's following. I just always shot the 200 gr. Hornady or Serria .357 JHC pistol bullets playing. It was no cannon, but a humble tool that would do the job.
I don't need one.

My wife and I sharing a blind and gun opening day last year at the house. I had a broke ankle with screws and whut not put in that was still very tender. She set up the blind and it was the only hunting I got to do last year. 15 yards from the work shop. LOL
