Loaded 10 from old brass, some nickel plated, with 90gr XTP's for the Contender barrel I got a couple weeks ago. No sights/optics yet, just wanted to check it out. Had cans and quart bottles with water at 25 yards. Managed to hit 2 bottles and 2 cans. It's a little hammer on those bottles of water. Easy to form brass. The nickel plated ones have been fired maybe 8-10 times and still formed with zero issues. Have to get some new brass for new loads. I like it, now just have to decide optics to install.

A good 2x is all you need.

Clear glass. Eye relief fits me very well. If it holds up I'll be looking for another. It's on my 321 at the moment. I just need to find some time to go shoot it. Right now it's either work or hunting. My range time is limited.

My favorite revolver/handgun scope...

your shots. Looking thru a 1X tube seems, to me at least, to make things even smaller than normal. Plus if you are hunting varmints that red dot covers the whole animal up out there a bit. Good for combat shooting at human size targets but I sure don't care for them for hunting. I would recommend getting a straight 2X or 4X scope. You can't hit it if you can't see it.

I found that I like a fiber optic front sight better than a

Red dot on a pistol. The only red dots I've really taken to for hunting are triangles. But those red dots ain't cheap...

Great advice.

no anti reflection coating to speak of. It is usable but at times it is akin to a mirror
