Shot the S&W .45 Colt today ...

Such a pleasant shooting gun! I ran 2 different loads .. a 250 gr. RCBS cast bullet with 6 gr. of 700X and the Keith 454424 260 gr. SWC with 15.5 gr. 2400.

Interesting .. at 20 yards the point of impact was nearly identical with both loads. Neither load was heavy .. both were good working loads.

From plinking to @$$ Stomping loads, it always works. I bought my first in 1983 at the age of 18 and still own it and several lore today.

use it for anything other than 45 Colt? Titegroup, Red Dot, Accurate #2, or Trail Boss are what I typically use for standard loads.
