Is this the going price? Seems high to me.

hence the price gouging. Factory grips have plastic inserts and no inserts in the forend. Pachmayr grips AND the forends too have hefty aluminum inserts the rubber is over-molded. That's why they are heavier and can support sling studs. Factory is several ounces lighter (like 1/2 lb.).

The angle on the grip is less of a rake angle too. It places your knuckle closer to the guard in recoil. Not all bad as the trigger reach is shorter too. It's a personal preference. I'd not pay a premium unless it's simply what I had to have.

I MUCH prefer the Pachmayr grip for the Encore handgun, my fingers are too short to reach the trigger, as I prefer, without altering my comfortable grip. I personally don't like the factory TC Encore grip at all. But wood or hard material will sting like the devil in hard recoil.

grips go for big money like that. Got my Encore before I found that out. probably going to sell and just get a G2, I liked the one Gary had on the Saturday sale with the Vapor Honed Black Chromex.

There will be a 1/8” gap on each side but with the aluminum insert it works. Ditto for Encore rifle stocks on the G2. Contenders have a different grip angle, no worry.

forend, Midway still has them listed @ $63.99 for the grip and $64.99 for the forend.
They stopped making them for the Encore and G2 and those go for crazy money.

Not sure BUT- IMHO the Pachmayr is waaaaay

They were about $75 a set. I heard they stopped making them

You can fit Encore grip on the G2
