next on my radar. Probably 357 or 45 Colt though. Your pics are always the best John!

that correlates to the .400 GNR, .38-40 or whatever. The information on bullet diameters, powders, etc. is useful for different applications of like capacities and caliber, at least for basic study. The .400 has a little less capacity perhaps. I'm more mindful of lighter bullets anyway, 170-230 gr.

Glen is a uber smart fellow and I find nuggets in all his articles.

Issue that I found. The bore slugged .404" when it should be .400".

That gives problems with some of these cartridges.

attractive. How do you keep from mashing the noses while seating? Tissue or wax?

GORDON BOSER'S #401452 SWC. NO PROBLEM WITH NOSES AT ALL. I BELEIVE I HAVE RN AND SWC SEATING STEMS.

The old wildcat made from trimming a .401 WSL to cylinder length in an old Colt .32-20 or .38 Spec. cylinder, then using a .38-40 barrel. That would have been a keen rig back in the day filled with No.80.

The old 1920's and 30's brass I have do NOT appear to be of the balloon head type. Perhaps because they were considered "rifle" brass? The older Win. brass have a unique grunge in the bottom however.

The bullet design is really sharp looking to me.

RE-CHAMBERED .357 CYLINDER. HE USED BOTH .401 RIFLE BRASS AS WELL AS .303 SAVAGE. TOP LOAD WAS 200 GR. BULLET OVER 18.5 #2400.
