a new cartridge that we will be building him an encore barrel in and hope to re-barrel an AR-10 in it. It is his 50 MDH. Straight .500 caliber on a cut down Remington Ultra Mag case. Very impressive looking cartridge. More on it as we go along.

He smoked a Sika at HHC. I think he said 350 gr. .510" at 2350 fps? He used a modded Rem Model 7.

I saw firsthand what that cartridge did, excellent accuracy

with devastating results. It looked like a great set up.

You know he's from MI, where they need straight wall ctgs.

That's the baddest conception that meets the specs!

How does it compare to the 50 Beowulf? .510 bullets?

Looks like it's over 300 fps faster.

It's a cut off Ultra-mag case (.404 Jeffery).

With straight walls and that huge surface area of the bullet base to spread out the psi it is surprising what it can do. Manson had this chute compact Model 7 rifle with a HS Precision one off stock. When he walked into the room it looked like he was carrying a varmint HB rifle. But no, it had a BIG hole in the tube!

The bullets are the "modern" style that are designed to fragment with a "base" that fully penetrates. The little plastic tips truly add to the aerodynamics in an astonishing manner AND make them feed slick as a whistle. The brand is Cutting Edge Bullets. They would work fine in a .510 GNR too. A huge 350 gr. HP! They are not cheap, but serious specific sue projectiles. In TN the performance was really impressive.

This will be interesting!
