The AR10 platform is a heavy beast

the bolt and buffer weigh almost as much as a AR15 type carbine. The smaller AR15 platform has been the focus of several "big" calibers like .450, .458 SOCOM, .50 BW. The rounds are held back some by the light duty platform. Remember the whole works was designed around the puny .22 CF.

The upper receiver is aluminum with the barrel nut screwed onto it and the bolt/barrel stub lock together. That is the real strength, that multi-lug rotating bolt and barrel stub. But it's held by aluminum. For perhaps a few hundred hi-power specialty rounds in a lifetime I think it will be fine. But at some point I have to think the aluminum will be come work stressed. I dunno, aluminum stretches before it cracks usually, maybe it's better than steel. I've shot a few of the hot light platform AR15's and feel they are being pushed beyond the edge. The .450 Bushmaster is the best by my figuring. Again you can take .458" bullets and resize to .452" to make whatever you desire.

Bill Wilson could paint a turd gold and line folks up to pay him $3500 a pop. More power to him. He's experienced, innovative, and rich, off decades in the gun industry.
