California school was done with a "ghost gun", a gun with no serial number and made in someone's garage. A good friend who is with the ATF told be a while back that the chitlins were gonna hit the fan about all these ghost guns. We are allowed to build one ghost gun for our own personal use but we cannot sell it nor can we give it away. It has to stay in our possession, period. The law enforcement in California says that about half of the confiscated guns from the gangs there are ghost guns, both AR-15s and 1911s. At the big Phoenix gun show there are individuals that have a table full of the AR-15 ghost guns, highly illegal but they sell then as quick as they can get them built. And these are not dealers.

These idiots are gonna bring the anti gun politicians down on the rest of us. Just like the crap with the bump stocks. It only took one incident to get all the bump stocks banned and when enough anti gun politicians get wind of the ghost guns, we can expect the same type of uproar and probably some laws banning some of the regular guns, not just the ghost guns.

My recommendation for those building them or even those putting guns together in your garage, even serial numbered guns, don't do it. You are just asking for trouble. If you put together a 1911 or AR-15 and you sell it to someone and it is used in a crime, you are going to jail, period, plus you cause the rest of us a lot of grief. We get young guys in our shop a couple of times a week trying to sell ghost guns (AR-15s) but we won't touch them. From now on, from right now, NO MORE POSTS about putting together AR-15s or 1911s unless you are a dealer. I don't want to be a part of getting our guns taken away from us.
