Durn, I blew up my Toaster oven!

Someone had moved it to the floor and swiped my table from under it. I noted that one plastic leg was broken so I added a washer above a screw to hold. This is my "bullet cooking" oven I've only used maybe a dozen times. Someone might have kicked it or maybe it was just defective.

Plugging in I noted it looked awfully orange under the trays, then it went white in an electrical fireball! If electricity travels 186,000 miles per second it went around the world twice while I hopped on one leg in a tight circle! Lawdy, I don't like arcing electricity. It never worked right anyway. Set on 400 deg. it once cooked some bullets that melted out teeny pores in the paint, so that's like 600+ F.

I'm going to try a different brand for sure!

Get you a probe thermometer when you pickup the next oven.

It'll help register true temps, even the higher end ones are off.

I have one of those Harbor Freight temp guns, what say?
