Monday I had my final fitting for my first prosthetic leg. Should have a useable leg next week. In case anyone has ever wondered, a prosthetic leg for a below the knee amputation cast about $25,000. Luckily I have insurance but you have, or I have, a whole separate deductible for something like this. Mine is 20%.

It’s real easy to start a pity party and look around at what it’s cost me (my entire hunting gun collection). Or what I want but can’t afford to buy.

But, God is good. I’ve broken my neck in what should of been a fatal motorcycle wreck and walked away. Not unscathed, but walked away. Now I’ve survived a flesh eating bacteria with only the loss of my lower right leg. My wife and boys are healthy, we have a roof over our head, food to eat, my boys know they are loved and safe and I can’t ask for any blessings beyond that!

MAY GOD'S RICHEST BLESSINGS

Wow! How generous. I think the easiest would be the 7gnr or any 30-30 bases, any 204 based but since I’m starting over What would you recommend I only hunt whitetail and a occasional hog. I don’t have either frame so I’m really not picky about that. I was smart enough to save some scopes. Thank you again.

the 30-30 based cartridges if you plan to reload as brass is easy to get and cheap. The 3- GNR would be easiest as you simply shoot the 30-30 round in the 30 GNR chamber and you are fireforming the brass. In fact you can hunt with 30-30 and fore form the brass while you are hunting. Then after you get a hundred rounds of brass you can start reloading.

that should be 30 GNR, not 3- GNR

Our Lord has lifted me up from some low places. His power is great. You keep praying for you and I will, too.

The neat thing about Jesus

He is not afraid to go into our darkest places with us ... and there He works to bring something good out of our troubles. He does not cause them or orchestrate them, but He can and will use them to bring good if we will but trust Him.

There are good days ahead for you!

Well put Jim.
