Reeder Custom Guns - 45auto or 10mm

One thing I have been thinking about doing was trading my M&P 2.0 compact 9mm for a rock island 1911 in 45a or 10mm. I would still have a 9mm shield for ccw.

I just debate, would a 5” 45 super (that’s what I’d do to the 45) or a 5” 10mm be better for 50 yards and under shots on whitetail and hogs? Either one would have to wait till after Christmas but our season doesn’t end till the end of January.

I have a 10mm RIA, has the bull barrel and full length guide rod, mag well and ambi safety. I like it, easily accurate enough, and if i hunted deer, i would use it. I have no experience with 45 Super, but i want one,,,,with a longer than 5” barrel. If i run into some money (big IF), i’m going to get Gary to make one for me.
