Had a close call or sorts

This AM I set up a hang on stand in a swampy brook down stream of a beaver bog
Hanging a stand on a lone spruce tree in the middle of a stream. I stood on it and heard a pop sound.

It turns out that one side of the cable supports snapped. Needless to say my Guardian Angel gets danger pay.

I need to get it down and check it out. At the least I figure some type of "fail safe" extra cable might be in order.

Had one slip down on me about a foot. I stood up and put to much weight on the back of the stand. That taught me a lesson. Pete

And he fell around 20 feet. And is very messed up.... Glad you are ok
