A long time ago Gary told me to take lots of pictures
and the wisdom of that really clicked with me. Adventures, trophies, people, it's really important to document for memories. Today it is so easy with cellphones all having cameras. Organizing is another topic!
This season of Joy and Praise, time of fellowship take some pictures and enjoy one another. Take time to call an old friend or communicate. You will one day be glad you did.
Bitching, complaining, being a sour puss is such a waste and detriment, time is short for everyone. Give someone a hug. I really don't like someone to touch me but sometimes it's OK. Even a "wet-willie" once a year, I can endure.
This past week two fine old Brothers and Sisters in my Sunday School class have passed on. Today my last Aunt mercifully slipped on. It was a prayed for blessing. In the last 21 months, beginning with my Mother, (4) of that family side's siblings have passed. Plus one married Uncle. About five years earlier the family baby (Uncle Ed) passed a little before my Cousin's pop, Uncle Jack. I remember as a teenager one Thanksgiving gathering a feeling came over me. It told me to use my eyes and soak up as much as I could to enjoy and remember the gathering of family. We had a house full of about 25 people. That was some time ago, the late 70's, but as of today, only about 5 of that group survive, including me!
As we begin to celebrate the birth of the Messiah on Earth lets take time to count our blessings and love one another. God's favorite commandment! For goodness sake take lots of pictures, one day besides a failing memory they will be all that remain. How will it be passed onto the next generation, some visual record? Pictures!
