Has anyone here tried hornady v-max bullets in a specialty pistol on whitetail/ thin skin game? I’ve read mixed reviews.

The key is not to drive them too fast...

About 24-2500 fps at the muzzle maximum. The "V" in the name is for varmints. Drive fast they explode instead of penetrating. Ditto on the FTX Bullets.

Higher velocity and the SST is a far better choice.
