Sometimes .425" and smaller. This combined with .430" barrels truly sucks.

Can't say that they were all that way because I haven't seen them all.

I wanted one and checked out a few. One actually had throats .423", which would be a train wreck without some serious work.

Decided on a Uberti Flattop Target 44-40. Has .4305" throats and .4295" barrel. Ties for the most accurate revolver I own.

Make your own call, that's just my two cents worth of opinion.
