Since Jim was talking Leverguns...

I have a Reeder Custom 1894 Marlin SS in .429 GNR. Along the way I have had .444, .45/70, .45/90, .50-95, .450 Marlin, and even a .440 GNR prototype I sold to Puffy. I ended up selling them all because the .429 Carbine does it all for me. I can shoot under 2" groups at 100 yds. with it, provides .444 Marlin performance in a 6 lb. package with only a 16" barrel. Then again I can load it down to .44 Special, .44 Magnum or whatever I want. Size wise it's between a single shot handgun and carbine. The Ghost rings sights are precise enough for any distance that is realistic for the cartridge.

Like the boy playing the same note over and over, I've found it, those others are still searching. Oh I love leverguns and have a couple more, would love a 1873 action-ed something. But the little Marlin gets it done. I guess it's MY Trapper gun.
