is using a 500 Linebaugh in a revolver. No sights. Set up for a scope. 8 1/2", heavy barrel, drilled and tapped for a Leupold base and rings. Positive Performance Package. Magnum gripframe with nice wood from a tree on his place. By the laws in South Africa every revolver has to have at least an 8" barrel and a scope. We are finishing it up this afternoon and I will be bluing it in a couple of hours. If all goes well it will go out to him tomorrow. These pics were rushed so they are not perfect pics.

With the 510 GNR you can go low, medium or even equal the 500 linebaugh. You have a lot more options with the 510 GNR than the 50 special.

The barrel engraving is nice touch.

I kinda got on the list to go to Africa late. A number of things had to fall into place in my personal life (I was the care giver for my aging mother). After my moms passing, my lovely wife said "Why don't you go to Africa with Gary? You've been talking about it for years. You owe it to yourself after taking care of your mom. You may look like 220 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal, but you're not getting any younger." (I added that last part). Anyway, I got on the waiting list, some folks dropped out, and here I am. Gary has been absolutely fantastic about building my gun. The gun laws in RSA have recently changed and Gary had no problem accommodating what was needed, as you can see from these pictures. I'll be getting the gun in plenty of time to work up loads and figure out how to shoot it with the scope, which is a whole new skill set for me. I can't tell you how excited this makes me. The process for preparing for the hunt has been very educational and fun. It's a different world over there and I can't wait.

Good on you for taking care of your mom. Wife is right.
