underrated scopes. At typically under $100 they are a bargain. I am so, so, glad Burris still makes their 2-7x. Probably my favorite scope all round. However it is not a good fit on a revolver. The Leupold 2x and 4X are my favorites for that. Honestly there are several 2X fixed power options. I use inexpensive Chinese scopes off Ebay for sighting in and general use, save my good scopes for serious business or use on low recoil stuff. Simmons are from Korea if I'm not mistaken. The inexpensive UTG line works pretty good for test work. They do have a replacement warranty that I have used once. Bit of a hassle on a $40 scope. I think the cheapy fixed power versions are the most robust, I have some 2-7x, that's the one that broke on a .338 GNR so I use them on 7mm GNR and like stuff.

I like the Weaver's but have less faith in getting them repaired. The Burris guys are much nicer to me than the Leupold service folks I have had personal experience with. Just me.

Not a bad tip to stock up on some EER optics. Red dot type things will be around always but sometimes I need some magnification.
