It's like shooting a .32 in a .38, you get the drift. It probably would blow up, but it is a bit goofy. I shoot factory 7.62x39mm boxer ammo from a M1910 Winchester .401. But I seriously calculated that exercise for forming brass to experiment. Some nuts are shooting .50 BMG from 12 ga. shotguns. No smoking way! I hate even watching that on Youtube.
The thing is the sloppy chambers to bore makes pressure low and it literally explodes in the muzzle direction. Not a smart move unless you have a real need. In a survival situation I'd certainly blast a Zombie with my old Trap Door if all I has was a box of 3" .410! FWIW.
