A Miracle in Mozambique

The years we lived in Africa we saw quite a few miraculous things happen. Here is one of them:

I was helping lead a team of about 40 people in western Mozambique. We had driven horrible roads for about 400 miles to reach the area where we made our camp. From there we went out each day to a village, set up generators and projectors, played music and in the evening showed the JESUS! film to everyone who came. Hundreds of people came .. many who had never seen a movie before.

The area was predominantly Muslim, but we were received warmly. I never experienced any problems with the people. In the various villages we went from house to house asking people if we could pray for them and bless them. We never had anyone who refused.

In one home we found a lady who was ill and had not been able to get up off her sleeping mat in three months. Her husband was worried about her. We asked him if we could pray for her and he gave us permission. We explained we were Christians and would be praying in Jesus’ Name. He said he was Muslim but that was OK for us to pray. He just wanted his wife to be well.

We entered the small, smoky hut and began to pray for her. After some time I asked the translator to ask her how she felt. She said she would like to sit up, so we carefully sat her up and began to pray some more. In a little while she said she wanted to stand up, so we helped her stand up. Again we prayed and then she said she wanted to go outside and sit in the sun. We helped her walk outside where she sat in the sunlight for the first time in three months! Her husband was very happy.

One of our Team members, Catherine, washed the lady's feet and legs which were very dirty and had feces etc. on them. We talked to them about Jesus and the husband, who had been watching quite closely, said "You know I am a Muslim but I like this Jesus." Both of them prayed to receive Him as their Savior. We then introduced them to the local pastor and left them in his care. Wherever we went that day we found people open and receptive to the Message of God's Love.

This lady's healing had nothing to do with my faith or the faith of our team. It was something supernatural .. outside of us ... outside the realm of normal recovery. It was amazing to us all.

A real miracle. Thank you for sharing.
