on the .41 Long Colt, really nice. He knew more about the .41 LC than anyone I ever ran into. He helped me with several tips. Has a good article or two out there if you can find it on the net.
I did about as good using very soft undersize hollow base lead bullets (I bought them, looked swaged) as I did playing with heeled style of .401-.403". The "heeled" bulleted cases are shorter you know! I don't think it would ever be a tack driver but like Elmer Keith penned in the 1950's, it beats a .38 Special pretty good. Has some notable whollop with the 200 gr. around 900 fps. Right up there with the modern .40 S&W, everything is new you know.
