Lee stuff is on the flimsy side anyway and this looks way too tinny. Then again I do stuff that was never conceived by designers. The cast bullet sizer kits seem more simple and less costly for custom applications. I just can't see mashing a .417 down to a .400 on this tool.
They are a crafty bunch though and it will be interesting. Mount the "dies" on top or to the ram. Sizes bullets or works as a single stage 7/8" press!

worth every penny. I have probably 10,000 lead bullets I have cast thru the last couple of years that I haven't had time to go thru the never ending sizing process. Colleen bought me a Star size/lube press but I haven't had a lot of luck with it. I have a Lyman 450 size/lube press on my bench collecting dust. I just told Colleen to get one of those Lee APP thingys and I will see how well it does. I see in the video where it sizes lead bullets but can't tell if it does any lubing. I don't have a lot of expectations on this Lee press but I will give it a try, and as I mentioned above, if it does half of what they claim it will be well worth it.

You know they were big on that "tumble lube", liquid alox lube. But those bullets designed special for it you really don't have to size at all. They drop out of the mould about 0.002 bigger than you'd call for but the multiple small grooves have huge surface area to hold the .22 RF style lube. They also "crush" to fill rifling. The only critique is they are a bit messy to treat and smoky to shoot. I usually get too much on them, they say a little is enough.
These have been custom "sized" down from about 0.412 to 0.401.
