While I have no experience with the revolver it is quite the lightweight curiosity which does have holsters available for it. With the first two pulls of the trigger you can fire snake shot and a solid projectile with each trigger pull which would cover the snake or a wild dog. With the scenario of snake shot only with the LCR you would need to fire the revolver three times until you had a solid projectile on a wild dog. With this strange revolver you can cover all scenarios with the first trigger pull. You can even follow up with double solids. I know it is a magnum rather than a long rifle but maybe worth some consideration. Personally rather than put the Long rifle to the task of a wild dog I would carry the 22 Magnum or a 38 special with snake shot in the first two as you described. Really strange little gun but would be interesting for you to give us a full report on its effectiveness! !!! Personally I look at that crazy trigger and feel like it would just break off if you give it a good pull but worth it you giving it a try for us...
