I got one in 1986 for a 375 JDJ. I have had the firing pin break. JD said that the attachment to the hammer (hammer extention) for easy cocking was the cause. I dont use those anymore, must have something to do with the physical ballance of a very fine tuned hammer. The SSK frame has done well by me.
I believe he is referring to the future SSK-50 Frame...

There has never been an SSK Frame before.
As far as opinions, I think a good idea. Opinion of the frame not really possible before they are available.
I'm a huge fan of the G2. But, the old type frames are fun for some retro stuff.
Time will tell about these frames like it does all things.
I like the feel of the original contender

when compared to the new G2. I have a G2 with a Pachmayr grip but it seems more awkward to cock the hammer when compared to the original Contender.
Maybe some wood grips thinned on the sides will be the key.
I am going to buy 2

These SSK frames are slab sided. One I am going to have engraved with North American animals. The other I am going to have engraved with African animals.
I was thinking a engraved fat Mesicun chick riding a burro
