IMR Blue, and IMR Red. The Blue is supposed to be the same as Blue Dot and the Red the same as Red Dot. I use a lot of Blue Dot in 38 Super, 10mm, 40 cal, 44 Mag and a couple of others. I use a lot of Red Dot in 45 ACP and a couple of others. So I plan in the near future to try both the Blue and Red. I have resisted trying any of the new powders mainly because the older stuff I have used for many years, like H-110, 296, 4227, AA1680, AA#9, AA#7, 4350, 3031, and several others are still doing very well and there is really no sense in changing.

Blue Dot was Speer's blistering .357 mag. load

with their excellent 140 gr. JHP. It was a bit of a compromise between the 125 gr. and 158, combining speed and retaining a bit more mass. It's still a good one. My Boss had it as his bo to, I preferred the 146 gr. Half-Jacketed as it looked more "Handgunnery" to me. In a sort of Keith, Skeeter, Milek, and Jordan spirit.
