It was really neat to experience hunting the old historic ranch. A memory I will always cherish.

A buck I busted with my Encore in .378 GNR at 100 yds. I was sick as a dog that weekend, my face is all swollen up too. Doug is on the right. It was a nice cull buck. We were hunting culls and feeding the Democrats!

This is Doug and his guide. Nice Sika he took with the 6.5x55 and Nosler 130 gr. Accu-bons. Had to shoot it like 4x. Tough bullets did not expand all that much at 2500 fps.

Me with the prototype FA2008 before production. It was a .375 Win. He had a 6.5x55 barrel too. A guy shot an Eland with it in .375 using factory ammo. It is super accurate but far from a perfect platform in my view. Bob is such a nice guy I had to agree to buy one. I did, in .375, knowing full well I was going to have GNR turn it into a .378 GNR. I did. A SA revolver grip on handgun that generates 3500 ft. lbs energy is a beast to hang onto! But handy and very, very, accurate!

Doug with another hard won Sika. This one taken right at the day's last light, I mean it. Used the .429 GNR and a Hornady 265 gr. Flex-tip right at 2000 fps. Thankfully it only made a couple death leaps. You could not see 10 ft. in the cedars.

My Blackbuck with the .338 GNR and the 200 gr. Hornady SP at 2600 fps. I shot it while it stopped to crap in a scrape, but I'll take it. One of my best moments.lol

Of course Doug could not let that go. He got one too with his .338 GNR at around 160 yds. He is holding the horn on with his hand for the picture. It had gotten into a fight and knocked his horn completely off. We thought the horn was gone and he got it for half price ($1250). When we walked up to it a skinny piece of skin was holding the dangling horn! What luck.
