as a $4000 deer if it had both brow tines. It only had one so it was a management buck but still a $1500 to $1800 deer. And yes we were averaging 30,000 lbs of meat each hunt weekend. They would take all the animals, whether deer, buffalo, sheep, whatever and they would grind it up into burger and feed the needy at Christmas.

I used the hunt to try out new calibers and spend time with good friends. I used that hunt for a couple of years trying out my new 510 GNR, 410 GNR and 455 GNR. This was with my 510 GNR

The Sika deer and Axis deer and Fallow deer were also trophy deer and management deer. The Sika, if a trophy deer, would have 4 points per side, never more than 4 per side. The Management bucks would have 7 points or 5 points total. The Axis deer the same, maximum of 4 points per side for a trophy and high dollar. But a management buck would have an odd number. The Fallow deer if a trophy would have palmations on his horns, sorta like a miniature moose. A management buck would have no palmations.

On one of my first few hunts there I met this older gentleman that became a very good friend. His name is John Taffin. I really didn't know too many people there as it was one of my first hunts so I ended up sitting over against a wall just watching the goings on. John was sitting there too and we spent a lot of time talking guns and hunting. One of my best memories.
