It sure would be easy to whack a barrel to get what you want. I'd let Gary do a bob job, re-crown, re-blue, put on a superior interchangeable front sight and call it better. Maybe $600-$700 give or take. Sounds like a project in the making. I would have done that on my Model 28 to 57 had I thought about it.
