last year and plan on bringing it again this year. One of my shots was almost 200 yards, John said 189 yards, and it dropped the Red lechwe in his tracks.

My second animal was my Bontebok. In a rush I pulled the first shot a bit back but after a short tracking session the second shot put him down, again with the 310 GNR.

The third animal taken with the 310 GNR is a Tssesebe, probably the ugliest animal I have ever taken. At first I told John I wasn't interested. Then he mentioned it would go at least #2 and maybe #1, so that was all it took. This one was a one shot kill at 70 yards or so. And again with the 310 GNR.
All 3 animals were taken with a 15" barrel, 13" plus muzzle brake in 310 GNR. My 310 GNR is an Encore framed gun but I also have a 310 GNR barrel on a G-2. Like Sean said just drop you Encore load by about 10% and you got it. Almost all the 405 based cartridges were developed in the Contender. The 310 GNR will put a 150 grain bullet out at almost 2900 FPS, and a 180 at a little over 2700 fps. In a rifle length barrel it will equal the 300 H&H.
