I had a 3 in 657 done by magnaport 25 years ago. Let a detective friend of my buy it from me. I should have kept it.

I typically carry the 330 grain +P Hammerheads @ 1400 fps in my Redhawk. I don't shoot a lot of them now, but carry them for back up when hunting hogs over in Georgia. I like to carry my lever gun in 45-70 with the red hawk in a Reeder cross draw. I have shot a hog in the 350+ pound range at close range (< 20 Yards) in the head as it was charging and the bullet went in the head and came out it's rear end. Dropped right there and did not move. I was not into making pictures then but wished I had a picture of that one.

44 mag and 357 max were the first reloads I ever did.

Found 265-280 grain HC were my deepest penetration driven as fast as I could. They were loaded for more distance though.

Very nice sbubbies JT.

It's a RB from the factory. They were a special distributor run, I think 3,000? Maybe only 1500. It's "her" carry gun on the farm.

The only reason to have a ported barrel on one is to keep the front sight filthy. Yuck.
