rookie question

I got my dies for my 338 gnr, i have the brass. Ive never had a round where i have to neck it down to another caliber. Any tips, tricks or recommendations? I have bo idea what to expect in this process. Thanks

if you have any dies in 375, 358 or 366 caliber

run the brass thru one of those first as a step down. Then lube the case again and go on down to 338. I have tried going from 405 all the way down to 338 but ended up losing a few pieces of brass. I usually go from 406 down to 375 (in my 378 GNR sizer die) then down to 350 GNR (.358) then on down to 338 and never lose a round.You only have to do this the first time.

Yep, saved me a bunch of brass!
