JS made a point... I broke out my New Frontier 44 Special...
This week. It's a switch cylinder gun and includes an auxiliary cylinder in 44-40. I wanted to compare it with the Uberti Revolvers.
Not a comparison, everyone can buy what they want.
Seemed the Uberti Cylinders had thicker walls. Sure enough they do. The Colt Cylinder had a diameter of 1.652" and the Uberti Cylinders measured 1.672".
Also measured the lock notches. Uberti cuts theirs .005" less deep than Colt.
Just an observation and I won't try to link that with strength. I have no intention of hot rodding anything on the 1873 Frame.
