Curious if Marlin will ever bring back the model 39 .22 caliber lever gun?
I’m thankful that Ruger is very responsive to customer wishes in building firearms that customers ask for. Ruger also produces more different models of firearms than than most any other manufacturer. It would be nice for Marlin to devout a run or two of model 39’s for their customers sometime in the future.

I'm glad you mentioned it - it's making me think I need to go shoot my '56 Mountie before it starts snowing today...

And yes it's so nice that Ruger is responsive to their customers, and that they try to be competitive on price. If Marlin resumed production oof the 39, it might be priced too high for many customers to justify. Like I said, good thing they don't wear out!

don't think they could make a 39 inexpensive enough to sell well and still make a profit. I hope I'm wrong! Ruger has always had a knack for making things better and cheaper. The new Wranglers are a ridiculous bargain for example.

But this isn't the place. I am a serious Marlin scrounger.
I don't collect I just buy them and shoot them. Even if they were NIB and could have been collectable. Lets just say if the serial number is on the side of the receiver its unattractive to me.
