In Africa to legally hunt with a handgun, it first has to be a revolver, no semi autos allowed, then the barrel has to be 8" or more. So Michael Mendes sent his Freedom Arms in to have a muzzle brake added to bring it to the legal 8" mark and while in here he wanted to add a set of Sorrel grips.

from that picture but I bet it's there. Burris makes a mount that is steel. The fancy one piece FA rig is aluminum. I see a lot of guys using variable but for Africa I'd be tempted to run a straight 4X for that area. The higher magnification sure is handy for 100yd.+ though. For most revolver ranges I like a good 2X.

Leupold dual dovetail mount and rings, plus a Leupold 2.5x8 pistol scope waiting on my reloading bench to reinstall back on it. Those Sorel grip panels are just plain Sexy too.
